On a foggy July day in Tomales Bay, Heather & Rob planned the most darling and intimate farm wedding at Straus Home Ranch with only 20 family members as their guests, many of them small children. For the first look Heather walked out to greet Rob who was waiting at the end of a narrow dock over Tomales Bay. The wind swept Heather’s flowy dress in dramatic fashion as they enjoyed some tender moments together before the ceremony. I was blown away. Please forgive the bad pun, there’s really no other way to say it! It was so special.
The ceremony took place in a golden field, framed by trees and with a view of the water in the distance. It was chilly but Heather and Rob hardly seemed to notice as they stood together. Afterwards they enjoyed delicious foods catered by Stacy Lauer, and Rob’s dad even stoked up the grill as well. And we of course made sure to grab some photos in front of the gorgeous red barn. Rob and Heather were so relaxed through the whole thing. They weren’t put off when the dinner had to be moved inside due to the cold rolling in, they were just happy to enjoy the company of their family who had come to celebrate this very special day with them.
The following vendors helped make Rob & Heather’s wedding a huge success:
Venn Floral
Stacy Lauer (Catering)
Straus Home Ranch (Venue)
Lili Goodman Freitas (Officiant)
Bright Event Rentals
Ingrid Noyes and Paul Shelasky (Musicians)
Thank you for the beautiful and endearing pictures you captured for Rob and Heathers wedding. I am “blown away” too. I can’t wait to see them all and I still can’t pick a favorite. Although, there is a black and white one that shows up in your favorites that does not show up in the blog group. It has them standing close to each other in the field looking away from the bay and looking into the fog covering the hills. It’s very poetic. The first steps of their marriage and who knows what lies in their future is not yet clear. I imagine great things and a wonderful life.
Thank you Marla! It’s so nice to hear which photos are people’s favorites. I love that one too and have now added it due to your request. 🙂 They had such a lovely wedding, can’t wait to share the rest once they are ready. -Manali
