What's Included

Your wedding will uniquely reflect special parts of your relationship, so we will have multiple touch points for getting to know each other before the day. I am happy to offer recommendations for other talented local vendors, and a few weeks before the wedding, I will reach out to help you plan.

My work is about more than documenting, it’s about making sure you are comfortable and enjoying yourself so that when I lift up the camera, you are relaxed and happy. I’ll blend in with the fun atmosphere of the party, photographing things as they happen, and then I’ll step forward with gentle direction when it’s time for portraits or family photos. You’ll be enjoying yourself so much you won’t notice the camera much at all.

Photo previews are delivered within a few days of the wedding, and later, you receive a gallery full of color-perfected and print-ready photos in Manali's warm editing style. These photos are high resolution and yours to keep forever.

Hi, I'm Manali

Hello! I specialize in making people feel comfortable in front of the camera so your photos reflect the natural joy and excitement of your wedding day, and I am a wedding photographer for the San Francisco Bay Area.

You’ve found your person—the one who laughs at your jokes, loves your quirks, and makes every day more fun. Now, you want wedding photos that actually feel like you—filled with genuine affection, real smiles, and none of those stiff, overly posed moments that just don’t fit your vibe.

With easy prompts and movement, I’ll help you focus on what really matters—marrying your best friend—while I capture all the fun, love, and unforgettable moments along the way. Goodbye awkward poses, hello fun wedding day.

Am I the Right Camera-Slinging Third Wheel for You?

Wondering if we’re a perfect match? Here’s four reasons why I may be perfect for you!

1

Are We the Perfect Match?

If you’re dreaming of wedding photos that feel natural, joyful, and full of real connection, we might be the perfect fit.

You don’t need to know how to pose—that’s my job. What truly matters is that you’re excited to be marrying your favorite person.

2

More Than Just Portraits—A Full Story

The couples I work with care deeply about the people they’ve chosen to celebrate with. If your wedding isn’t just about the two of you, but also about the love, laughter, and energy of your family and friends, I’m the photographer for you.

I capture more than just portraits—I tell the full story of your day. If you’re only interested in photos of just the two of you and don’t care about capturing moments with your guests, I may not be the right fit—and that’s okay!

3

Love is Love, Always.

Let’s be absolutely clear about something that should go without saying: I celebrate love in all its forms.

Many of my couples are in mixed-race relationships, interfaith marriages, or part of the LGBTQ+ community, or all of the above.

Whoever you are, whoever you love, and however you’re celebrating, you are welcome here.

4

Let’s Make Something Beautiful

If this sounds like the experience you want on your wedding day—if you’re looking for a photographer who will keep things fun and capture the real, unscripted moments that make your love story yours—then let’s talk.

I’d love to be part of your day. Let’s make something beautiful together.

Planning a Weekday or Off-Peak Wedding?

Are you planning a weekday wedding or a smaller celebration during the off-peak season (typically November – April)?

For weekday weddings, off-season celebrations, or last-minute weekend weddings, I offer more flexible coverage options based on my availability. This is perfect for couples planning a smaller wedding who may not need full-day coverage or a second photographer.

For example, if you're hosting a Thursday wedding with 60 guests and don’t need a second photographer, I can create a custom quote for 6 hours of coverage with just me. These quotes are tailored to your specific needs, so the best way to get started is to fill out my inquiry form and start a conversation.

You don’t need to have all the details figured out—that’s what I’m here for! After answering a few simple questions, I’ll guide you through the process and help determine the ideal coverage for your day.

Let’s chat and find the perfect fit for your wedding!

Things people ask

1.

What is the booking process like?

First, you fill out my form so I can get in touch. Even if you are still in the process of booking your venue, it’s fine to reach out. Then I will confirm my availability for your date and send you detailed pricing information, and ask you to choose a time for us to meet and discuss your wedding and what the two of you are like as a couple. If we decide to work together, we will sign a contract and I will receive a deposit. Then we are confirmed and no one else can book me on your wedding date.

2.

Have you photographed at my venue?

With over 15 years of experience photographing weddings professionally in the San Francisco Bay Area, probably! Some venues I know particularly well are Thomas Fogarty Winery, Nestldown, Trentadue, the Brazilian Room, and so many more.

3.

Should we do an engagement session?

You’ve probably heard that engagement sessions are great practice for working with your photographer before the wedding day and they are. I see my couples truly enjoying themselves. However, they are not required. I would never prioritize the engagement session over the wedding photography coverage itself. Meaning if my best friend was planning her wedding I would tell her to hire the photographer she trusts will do an amazing job at her wedding even if she has to skip the engagement session to make it work.

My husband and I were immediately comfortable with Manali. She prepared thoroughly with us before the day, and she gracefully captured all of the crazy group shots that we wanted. I wished for photos that would capture the joy of all my loved ones on that day and she delivered exceptionally!

I was so impressed by the moments Manali was able to capture. I look back on these beautiful photos only to realize I didn't notice Manali snapping the photo. She is truly excellent at her craft and we are so grateful to her that we shout her name from the rooftops to our friends who are getting married.

Manali was such a wonderful photographer and fun person to work with! She made us laugh from the start, which made being in front of the camera much more fun. She caught all of our wonderful moments, but was so discreet, I barely noticed she was there!

My partner and I get a little nervous taking pictures, but Manali made us so comfortable we actually enjoyed having our photos taken. Manali was truly running around making sure she was getting every shot and many of our friends and family also commented on how wonderful she was.

Manali captured the magic of the day perfectly without feeling like she was "directing" us. She felt like a perfect guiding presence when we weren't sure where to go or what to do, but really let us be us - and that shows through her photos. I'm so glad we worked with Manali!!
