Chris & Niki celebrated their wedding on the lovely grounds of Casa Grande in New Almaden on a gorgeous sunny day. I loved how their friends and family were involved in making sure this day was incredibly special for Chris & Niki by pitching in with setting up tables and chairs and decorations. Even Niki was taking care of a few DIY touches with her sister before the ceremony began. During the ceremony Niki’s mom read a melodic passage in Farsi and they combined different types of honeys into one glass to symbolize their union in the Persian tradition. The day turned into a lovely warm evening where everyone had a blast eating, and dancing, and watching Chris & Niki drive off in their freshly “decorated” car!

Three things to know about getting married at San Francisco City Hall

• You can pick up a marriage license from any county in California. Just make sure it is within 90 days of your date
• The best light and my favorite portrait location is on the 4th-floor North balcony
• San Francisco City Hall’s best kept secret: Did you know you can get married at SF City Hall without making a wedding appointment? You just need to hire your private officiant, and I can help you plan a wedding like this.
