San Francisco City Hall Civil Ceremony: Eden + CK

Wow! I had the pleasure of helping Eden & CK plan their San Francisco City Hall wedding day and everything turned out magically. I think what I love most is that even though they planned a civil ceremony which is the most common way to get married at city hall they had a totally gorgeous and totally unique day that felt perfect for them. We went to iconic San Francisco locations for photos before their ceremony appointment at San Francisco city hall and then immediately following their ceremony we went up to the 4th floor of city hall where they exchanged their own unique vows in front of their family and friends. We all had so much fun together but that’s easy when you get a wonderful couple like them. These two have a very deep and special connection. You can really feel the love they have for each other, as I’m sure you will agree after seeing their photos.

We started off at the historic Mark Hopkins Hotel where Eden got ready with her family and the couple did their first look. CK had some trouble with tying his bowtie (a very common problem I see, fellows!) but that little hiccup allowed us to get a very cute photo of Eden’s dad tying the groom’s bowtie in the lobby of the hotel under a grand chandelier. Then they wanted to do a walking tour of special sites in Nob Hill because that’s their neighborhood and where they spend time walking their dog. We stopped outside the stunning Grace Cathedral and then found an intersection with a perfect San Francisco vista with stunning views of the Transamerica Pyramid and cable car tracks. Next up we stopped at Baker Beach for photos with the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a stunning sunny day! We had clear blue skies, bright blue ocean waters and the bridge looked so magnificently red on this late August day.

And finally we come to the main attraction, the whole reason Eden and CK were galavanting around San Francisco looking amazing in their wedding clothes– we made it San Francisco City Hall for their civil ceremony. They had a 12pm appointment time and I have to say it didn’t feel too busy. At the end, around 1pm were able to get that coveted grand staircase photo without any trouble. I really loved the moment they exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends. Everyone was very touched, some tears were definitely shed! I think it really tied the day together to make it feel so romantic and beautiful. I’m so happy for the lovely couple. Enjoy their photos.
