Lagunitas Country Club, Ross, CA: Maggie & Chris

I am so excited to share these photos of this wonderful couple and their beautiful wedding in the redwoods at the Lagunitas Country Club in Ross, CA. Apparently Maggie & Chris were quite lucky to get the venue for their wedding, as they only do a small number of weddings each year. Tall trees were the theme of the day and it couldn’t have been more fitting. They included images of trees on their invitations and the club has tall redwoods growing all over, but what makes it perfect is Chris’ last name is Root and both Maggie and Chris are very tall so the trees also were kind of like their “spirit animal”, or spirit flora 😉

Their ceremony took place in a clearing in front of a stone chimney, and surrounded by lush greenery on all sides. Their guests sat on long benches and Chris and Maggie both effectively emerged from the trees, one after the other, to walk down the aisle. They also wrote and exchanged their own very sweet and touching vows. And then it was party time! They followed up the ceremony with a cocktail hour and dinner reception outdoors right under the canopy of redwoods as the sun went down, and it was every bit as elegant as it sounds.
