Oakland Aviation Museum Wedding: Steph + Mike

Steph & Mike held their wedding reception at the Oakland Aviation Museum. I had the pleasure of photographing their San Francisco City Hall wedding ceremony three years ago and it was such a joy to see them again for this celebration! They are now living in Berlin and came back to throw a larger reception to celebrate with all of their friends and family in Oakland. Their celebration was beautiful and low-key, which suited them perfectly.

A highlight for me was when Steph and Mike climbed into the museum’s giant plane for some portraits. It was originally built for the Royal Air Force and is one of only three remaining planes of its type in the world. They enjoyed some quiet moments as they cozied up inside, just look at the smiles on their faces. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Make sure you check out the little touches like the gold paper airplanes they had their guests sign! Steph also had a dress change into a stunning modern white dress that she wore for dinner and dancing.

Please see a list of their vendors below the photos, and enjoy the photos below!

Steph & Mike’s wedding reception was a huge success thanks to these vendors:

Three things to know about getting married at San Francisco City Hall

• You can pick up a marriage license from any county in California. Just make sure it is within 90 days of your date
• The best light and my favorite portrait location is on the 4th-floor North balcony
• San Francisco City Hall’s best kept secret: Did you know you can get married at SF City Hall without making a wedding appointment? You just need to hire your private officiant, and I can help you plan a wedding like this.
