San Francisco City Hall Wedding + Marshall’s Beach: Mae + Leo

San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Get ready to fall in love with Mae & Leo, almost as hard as they have fallen in love with each other. These two encapsulate fun and tenderness in their very essence. There is no way they won’t have you grinning and perhaps almost tearing up as you look through their photos. They got married in the simplest of ways possible, during a civil ceremony at San Francisco’s city hall under the beautiful rotunda. It was a true elopement! (Except they kindly forewarned their parents in advance.) I was lucky enough to be their only guest and witness.

After we took photos around city hall we went to Marshall’s Beach for more photos with a completely different vibe. They kept their sunglasses on and danced with each other on the sand while the Golden Gate Bridge looked marvelous in the background. It was just a wonderful day! Enjoy the photos!

Three things to know about getting married at San Francisco City Hall

• You can pick up a marriage license from any county in California. Just make sure it is within 90 days of your date
• The best light and my favorite portrait location is on the 4th-floor North balcony
• San Francisco City Hall’s best kept secret: Did you know you can get married at SF City Hall without making a wedding appointment? You just need to hire your private officiant, and I can help you plan a wedding like this.
