Tom & David’s Rainy Day Wedding

I am very excited to share this rainy day wedding from last November. San Francisco City Hall elopements always hold a very special place in my heart. There’s something wildly romantic about leaving your normal life behind and getting married with only your lucky photographer as your witness. When Tom & David flew out from Virginia, just a few short months ago, their marriage wasn’t legally recognized in the state. Since then however, Virginia has legalized same sex marriage so hooray for Tom & David, and everyone in Virginia!

This wedding with two handsome men just called out to me to be presented in mostly black & white. I think they look classic in monochrome! Congratulations Tom & David!

Three things to know about getting married at San Francisco City Hall

• You can pick up a marriage license from any county in California. Just make sure it is within 90 days of your date
• The best light and my favorite portrait location is on the 4th-floor North balcony
• San Francisco City Hall’s best kept secret: Did you know you can get married at SF City Hall without making a wedding appointment? You just need to hire your private officiant, and I can help you plan a wedding like this.
