Spring Hill Estate Wedding: Morgan + Garrett

Spring Hill Estate Wedding

Where do I start with Morgan & Garrett? They have an utterly sweet connection and they are drawn to each other like magnets. These two emanate warmth and love with each other as well as their greater community. It’s no wonder that they have a large circle of friends, as well as family, who were all excited to watch them tie the knot. It was an honor to photograph Morgan & Garrett’s beautiful wedding at Spring Hill Estate in Tomales, California.

On a foggy day in October, I entered the main house to find Morgan surrounded by a troupe of her close girlfriends. They popped champagne to send her off to her first look with Garrett, and some even teared up when they first saw how gorgeous she looked in her delicate silk dress. That dress! It danced and billowed with even the slightest breeze. I just love how it turned out in the photos. Garrett also looked equally handsome in his stylish grey suit.

Emotions jumped into high gear right from the start with their ever so sweet first look. Garrett couldn’t help but burst into tears when he saw Morgan, and she too was fighting back tears of her own. Two of Morgan’s cousins who she grew up with shared the responsibility of officiating and absolutely killed it. They recapped Morgan & Garrett’s story as a couple and had all of the guests laughing or “awwing” the whole time. Apparently, after their first date, Morgan came home and wrote in her journal that she had a wonderful time and though she couldn’t know what might happen between them, she was glad to know that someone as amazing Garrett existed in this world.

Needless to say, they and their guests were ready for the huge celebration in the barn, that followed the ceremony. The photos will tell the story better than I can so please enjoy! Also, if you’re wondering where they got that awesome wooden circle that they stood in front of for their wedding, it was handmade by Garrett himself! Many thanks to Katelyn for assisting me during their wedding. Check out the credits for their awesome vendor team below the photos.

So freaking excited for these two! They kept it sweet and simple with a private elopement in San Francisco's golden gate park and they also had an enormous amount of luck when they planned to get married on Wednesday when we had a break in the rain here in the SF Bay Area. It was such a joy to capture this moment ❤️
Just going to put this here... my first attempt at putting myself in front of the camera! Everyone else is doing it so I'm giving it a shot now too.

This is from Christy & Dory's gorgeous wedding at Straus Home Ranch, in Marshall, CA. It is one of my favorite venues and this was a very special wedding. Even though this is a more serious moment there is tons of laughter that happens between these two. Christy has the most contagious laugh. I'm sure you'll be smiling when you take a peek. Check out the link in bio.

Enjoy fleet week San Francisco. Hope you enjoy it as much as this mother of the bride!

The most memorable moments are the unexpected ones. We were getting lined up for family photos when we could hear the blue angels starting up (very loudly) and flying overhead. Emily & Will got so lucky they didn't fly over while they were exchanging their vows and only started up just minutes after they said "I do."

Also when taking this photo I was disappointed for a split second that I didn't have a long close up lens on me so I could get a better photo of the planes, but then I realized my wide angle lens was perfect for allowing me to get everyone's reaction to the planes just before they zoomed out of frame.
