Mike and Amber’s Golden Gate Bridge Proposal

A few weeks ago I was contacted by an excited boyfriend who was planning on taking a trip to San Francisco and proposing to his girlfriend in our beautiful foggy city. I loved how Mike said he had grown up near the water in Michigan and specifically wanted to be by the bay for the proposal. This was also a first trip for either of them to San Francisco so he really wanted to incorporate the bridge into it too, as a reminder of the special place SF will certainly hold in their hearts. So naturally I surmised that Torpedo Wharf was going to provide the perfect backdrop.

I stood at one end of the wharf with nothing to hide behind except my camera, and I just hoped that Amber wouldn’t notice the random person “taking photos of seagulls” on a chilly Friday morning. Sure enough all of her attention was on Mike as he got down on one knee, and yes, she most certainly said yes. Congratulations Mike and Amber!
